A Liberal Government will electrify and duplicate the line from Frankston to Baxter. We will build two new stations at Frankston East and Langwarrin and upgrade Baxter station to allow Metro trains to run all the way to Baxter.
Under a Liberal Nationals Government, the line from Cranbourne to Clyde will be extended to help get Victoria moving. Construction will commence in 2019 and be completed in 2022 and will deliver 2 new stations, 350 new car spaces and four new grade separated intersections to ease the pressure on our roads.
The Liberal Nationals will give country Victorians the rail service they deserve with a $633 million investment to replace the ageing fleet of diesel-hauled trains with new-generation, faster, long-haul trains.
A Liberal Nationals Government will spend over $300 million to duplicate the Hurstbridge railway line between Greensborough and Eltham stations, as well as rebuilding Montmorency station and significantly improve car parking along the line.
